Saxon Cross Pewter Norse Pendant

This simple solid pewter cross is inscribed with 5 ring and dot designs - said to represent the 5 wounds of Christ. It is a replica of a number of original Saxon and Viking age finds and would have been worn after the conversion of the society to Christianity. The cross symbol was found throughout Europe before and after conversion.


It is 29mm long (39mm with chain mounting) and weighs approx. 8g. It is hand made in Scotland, and comes ready to wear with a length of black waxed cord.
