This pendant is based on the round discs from the Monymusk reliquary and considered to be a fine example of Pictish metal working. The Monymusk reliquary is also considered to have been the reliquary of St. Columba, the Brecbennoch, which was carried before the Scottish army at the battle of Bannockburn.
