Hand carved and polished deer antler (I think roe deer) handles, ferrocerium firesteel rods. Ferrocerium varies in hardness, the harder it is the longer it will last, but the softer it is the more sparks you will get. This is a fairly soft ferrocerium, and produces a lot of sparks when struck with a sharp object, ideally the back of a steel knife/survival knife.

I have four currently in stock as pictured: two with solar symbols and swastikas, primal solar and lightning symbols suitable for this purpose, one with othala and algiz runes and a more minimalist one with swirl patterns. Finished with a dark wax to bring out the detail.

These come with leather cord loops attached so they can be looped over a belt when out and about.
